How to know if the performance of an iPhone has gone down 2018

Image
How to know if the performance of an iPhone has gone down 2018 The river sounded on the network and finally brought water from Cupertino: yesterday Apple confirmed that performance decreases in “old” iPhones in order to conserve the battery. But it is something that does not affect all units and we ourselves can know if our iPhone has been affected . There are several ways to review the parties involved and several solutions according to what suits us or we want to spend. So we review what happened and propose some ways to check the status of the affected components and what it would cost to change the battery . What has happened? By way of brief summary this is what happened: a number of users of certain Apple smartphone models detected that they were slower , despite updating and trying to solve it in various ways. Some decided to go further with performance tests (benchmarks) and other measures trying to find an explanation that would later clarify the brand, putting th...

Apple finally confirmed that the low performance on the old iPhone 2018

Image
Apple finally confirmed that the low performance on the old iPhone 2018 Tremendous controversy broke out this week when the user known as TeckFire on Reddit measured the performance of an iPhone 6s before and after replacing the battery. Relying on Geekbench as a tool to measure CPU performance, he came to the conclusion that Apple is slowing down iPhones whose batteries have decreased their capacity . The problem with this is that everything was conjecture and there was no official version by Apple, which led to another type of analysis like the same John Poole, founder of Geekbench, who measured the performance of an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 7 where he discovered that in iOS 10.2.1 and 11.2.0 Apple incorporated a mechanism to lower the frequency of the CPU and thus prevent the device will suddenly turn off due to the process load. Apple also failed to confirm the finding of the founder of Geekbench, but today they are finally breaking the silence by mentioning that yes, t...

At what pace do smartphones go down in price?

Image
At what pace do smartphones go down in price? The iPhone does not go down in price until its subsequent generation is announced, and the rest of the manufacturers are making gradual decreases. Up to here the topic. In what percentage do the prices of these rest of manufacturers fall? Who makes greater discounts to their phones when they have spent a few months of the launch? Are these discounts getting bigger or smaller? To find out we have collected some 1,800 smartphone prices in Amazon Spain during the last four years, thanks to CamelCamelCamel , Keepa and Archive.org . These prices are from phones of several manufacturers (chosen with the help of Xataka Móvil’s colleagues ) during their first twenty-four months in the market -some were previously discontinued-, discarding some focused on the input range , as well as manufacturers that do not be global. We point out in particular to brands like Xiaomi, that for not having official distribution until just a few weeks a...

Google closes Project 2018 Tango to focus exclusively on ARCore

Image
Google closes Project 2018 Tango to focus exclusively on ARCore Google closes Tango (known as Darling Project Tango) in a movement to some obvious extent, but what strikes us is that it has been so soon, since Google Tango has only three years of development and has given life just two devices. In a discreet way, without a statement in form and without an explanation, it was Tango’s Twitter account who broke the news that support for this technology will end on March 1, 2018 . Here, developers are only asked to adopt ARCore for future augmented reality projects. Tango and augmented reality as something complicated and expensive Project Tango was born in 2014 as one of the first augmented reality developments designed for the general public , which was born within the Advanced Technology and Projects division (ATAP), which was owned by Motorola. Already in 2015 Project Tango stops being a project and integrates Google officially as simply ‘Tango’. Between 2014 and 2015, t...

6 Ways Increase Your Mobile Application's Security

A constant growth in the mobile application development platforms has helped in the simplification of the entire process of application creation. With advanced methods, simpler plugins and intuitive platforms, almost anyone can now create his/her own mobile application. However, developing a truly useful and likable application is an entirely different ball game. One of the most important factors in play for the application development process is the integration of safety into the interface. You want to make sure that your application is safe for the users especially when it asks them for sensitive/personal details such as account password and username. Use Encryption The use of encryption for device safety is the best way to secure your mobile application. The use of good encryption like that of 256-bit AES encryption allows you to encrypt the data transmitted from the user's device. This encryption will make it difficult for a hacker to steal and make sense of any data. R...

Understanding the Ins And Outs of Moodle Mobile Learning

With technology becoming an integral part of our daily life, more learners are opting to gain a quick access to websites within their organization using their mobile devices instead of using the traditional notebook or desktop computers. So, to meet the user demands, educational institutes and schools are slowly overhauling their course management system and using Moodle to create mobile applications. Since we are highly dependent on our handheld devices, we rely on them for communication, playing games and even learning, Mobile learning is increasingly gaining popularity and Moodle LMS fully supports it. What does it mean by mobile learning? Mobile learning can be referred to learning anything from anywhere and anytime. The mobile component refers to the device that allows the learners to gain access to the course easily even while on the go. This is possible with a few platforms like Moodle development because courseware is available only within the LMS. It has various benefits ...

Understanding APK Files on Android

APK stands for Android package kit. This is a file format that is used by the operating system in Android for the installation and the distribution of middleware and mobile apps. The files are actually analogous to the other packages like APPX for Microsoft Windows or the Debn kind of packages within debian based kind of OS such as Ubuntu. So as to come up with the APK file, one needs an Android program for Android to be compiled and then all parts packaged into a single file that contains the code of the program. This can be files like .dex files. The APK file also has to have the manifest, certificates, assets and resources files. Just like any kinds of file formats that you may know of, the APK files are allowed to have any kind of name that is needed. The only thing that has to remain constant is the end which should be .apk. They are a kind of archive file and found in the zip format packages that are based on JAR format .apk is the filename extension. Installation One can install...

Huawei's Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro get dual cameras, AI tech

Image
The Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro arrive today with a full load of trendy features. Each phone packs the new supercharged Kirin 970 octa-core processor and funky dual camera on the back but also wraps them up in a slick-looking body with glass on the front and back. Apparently the Mate 10 Pro is the "main" one, and it's that one that we'll be able to buy in the UK (both models will be available in Australia). No US release for either phone has been announced yet. The Pro is definitely the most exciting of the two. At 6 inches, it's larger than the 5.9-inch Mate 10, but with narrower bezels on all sides, Huawei reckons that the 6-inch screen fits into the same size body you'd have found on last year's 5.5-inch devices. It's certainly comfortable to hold. Huawei achieved the slimmer bezel by ditching the home button on the front, moving the fingerprint scanner to the back, below the camera. The screen now stretches right to the edges and with the Pro...

VoLTE feature phone: Too little to augment revenues for the operators

Image
We are again at the same crossroad where Jio launched JioFone is a limited capability Smartphone riding over a FeaturePhone. This is essentially to fill up the gap where a user may not have heavy data use case as well as from affordability point of view will not be willing to spend somewhere between Rs 4,000 – 6,000 for a Smartphone that may still not be a good fit from experience point of view. However, there is only one appeal for operators in a VoLTE FeaturePhone – it can bring its entire subscriber base on a single technology network and can initiate switching off the 2G networks. This will somehow align the investments with the revenue potentials. Currently, operators are investing heavily on 4G network capabilities but over 70% of their revenues are still coming from the voice services. This is a mismatch that a VoLTE FeaturePhone can help overcome and finally we may get to see convergence at the core as well as access infrastructure. The big question that remains is whether VoLT...

A message on Jio’s website – uploaded on Sunday – reads that the customers will be informed when the company resumes pre-booking. RIL and Reliance Jio Infocomm didn’t respond to an email seeking comment.
