Huawei Mate 10 Lite Review 2018

Huawei Mate 10 Lite Review 2018 The Huawei Mate 10 Lite is a mid-range phone sold across the globe (but not in the United States) as the more affordable sibling to the high-end Mate 10 series. The phone features a 2:1 screen – one that's taller than traditional 16:9 screens we used to see on virtually every new phone until about last year. It is built of solid metal and it runs on Huawei’s own Emotion UI interface on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. The Mate 10 Lite also has a dual camera system on both the front and the back, with a 2-megapixel secondary camera on both sides that allows shooting photos with a blurred background – an effect that resembles the look you get with a dedicated DSLR camera. We spent a few days using the Mate 10 Lite to find out how good of a phone it really is. Read on for our experience with Huawei’s new mid-ranger. Design Premium and sturdy, the Mate 10 Lite is built of solid aluminum and made to last. The first thing to notice about the Huawe

Samsung Galaxy J5 review (2018) 2016's Galaxy J5 was Samsung's best budget phone yet, but a much-needed 2017 upgrade is here Pros Great price Excellent screen Lengthy battery life Cons Rubbish camera Update: New Samsung Galaxy J5 is here Stop! if you've been eyeing up Samsung's excellent budget phone, the Galaxy J5, hold that thought for a moment. The 2016 model is old news, and there's a spangly new 2017 upgrade that's deserving of your attention (and hard-earned cash). What's so good about it I hear you ask? Here's what's so special. Some big changes can be found in this yearly upgrade. For one, there's a new all-metal unibody design, just like the J5's pricier siblings. Next, the camera has seen a significant improvement - and is now much more versatile than the camera it proceeds. Finally, performance differences are night and day, and this year's J5 blows its predecessor clean out of the water. READ NEXT: Samsung

Lenovo P2 review: The best smartphone battery life, period

Lenovo P2 review: The best smartphone battery life, period With a monstrous battery life, the Lenovo P2 will keep on going long after others have keeled over Pros The best smartphone battery life Brilliant display, on a budget Speedy performance Cons Camera could be better Update: Lenovo P2 unavailable in the UK Uh oh. If you hadn't already picked up the smartphone with the longest-lasting battery life, well, you might be out of luck. The problem is, and it didn't last long, but the Lenovo P2 is no longer being manufactured, if the inflated prices online are to be believed. Sure, you can still pick one up, but you should expect to pay roughly £350 for one – £150 more than the initial RRP. That's not great, is it? Moto G5S Plus Review 2018 Not everyone wants, needs, or can afford a flagship-class smartphone, so we're grateful to have a market with no shortage of mid-range phone options. But while those budget-priced offerings from some manufacturers feel like afterthoughts, other phone-makers have earned well-deserved reputations for putting our real quality low-priced handsets that have us coming back for more, year after year. That's very much the case with Motorola, and while the brand experiments with modular hardware for its flagships, the affordable Moto G line has represented a more accessible alternative since its first iteration debuted back in 2013. Today we're checking out one of the latest entries to this well-respected series, the Moto G5S Plus. With dual cameras and a metal body, does this phone manage to still feel pretty premium despite a wallet-friendly price tag? Let's take a look. Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) Review

Image
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) Review The Galaxy A8 2018 is Samsung's newest upper mid-range phone, but with its similar glass-and-metal design and styling, we'll forgive you if you mistake it for the flagship Galaxy S8. The list of similarities includes a tall, edge-to-edge Super AMOLED Infinity Display, a 3,000 mAh battery, and the familiar Samsung Experience interface. But on the inside, the A8 is a mid-ranger: with a different processor and a different camera. Its performance isn't the same either. I have spent the past few days with a Galaxy A8 2018 in one pocket and a Galaxy S8 in the other to find out how good of a phone the A8 really is and how it compares to the flagship S8. Read on to learn more. Bragi Dash Pro wireless earphones Review 2018

Bragi Dash Pro wireless earphones Review 2018 Helping to establish this newfound market for truly wireless headphones, Munich-based company Bragi was one of the pioneers to enter it back in late 2015 with its crowdfunded set, simply named "The Dash." Since then, we've seen several companies inundate the space with their own offerings and moving the segment to all sorts of directions. Some of these shifts were good, some bad, but the evolution has been evident since the first batch of wireless headphones came out. Two years later, we're testing out Bragi's latest product, the Dash Pro, which is an ambitious effort to deliver the most intelligent and advanced pair of truly wireless headphones. Can they meet the high expectations that they set? Design Bragi Dash Pro wireless earphones Review Seeing the Dash Pro for the first time, we couldn't help but think that their design is as conventional as it gets – albeit, you could argue that Bragi was first

Sony Xperia L2 Review 2018

Sony Xperia L2 Review 2018 Earlier this year, Sony introduced one of its most affordable phones in recent history. The new Sony Xperia L2 is an entry-level offering that folows the company's familiar styling principles, but also one that carries some new bells and whistles, such as a 120-degree wide-angle selfie camera and a fingerprint scanner that works on the US model as well. The Xperia L2 is launching on February 9th for the retail price of $249.99, which puts it in the same category with low-tier devices, and well below the more shiny offerings like the Xperia XA2. Now let's take a look at it and see if it is worth getting one! Design Looks okay and feels solid, but won't turn any heads Sony Xperia L2 Review The Xperia L2 sports the typical Sony look, but with a twist — the stark rectangle on the front, the softly rounded frame, and the flap-drawer for the SIM and microSD cards on the side are all familiar, but we now get a curved back as well, allowing
